Arsenal supporter proposes on Emirates Stadium tour
Arsenal supporter, Edmund Tsang, recently approached Arsenal to see if they could help him organise his dream proposal at the home of the Gunners, Emirates Stadium.
Edmund and his girlfriend, Hebi Fung, are from Hong Kong and are members of the Arsenal Hong Kong Supporters Club. They had booked a trip to London and on their itinerary was an Emirates Stadium tour. With a little help from Arsenal, Edmund arranged for club mascot Gunnersaurus to interrupt their tour and lead Hebi pitchside so that he could ask her that very special question.
As soon as Hebi said ‘yes’, the big screens in the stadium came alive to reveal a video message of congratulations from Arsenal first-team player, Kieran Gibbs.
Speaking shortly after the proposal, Edmund said: “I’m so happy and excited. It has taken a few months to plan this but to propose to Hebi pitchside at the Emirates was amazing and I’m delighted she said yes!”
Hebi added: “It’s very touching. I had no idea what he was doing. I thought we were just coming to London for a trip. I didn’t know where Gunnersaurus was bringing me, then I saw Edmund…it was all very amazing.”

Passionate fifty-something Arsenal supporter who has been making the journey to N5 regularly since the early 1980s – although his first game was in 1976. Always passionate when talking about The Arsenal, Dave decided to send a guest blog to Gunnersphere in the summer of 2011 and has not stopped writing about the Gunners since.
He set up his own site – 1 Nil Down 2 One Up – in February 2012, which he moved on in 2016 to concentrate on freelance writing and building Gunners Town, which he launched with Paul in 2014.
The objective of GT was to be new and fresh and to give a platform for likeminded passionate Arsenal fans wishing to write about their team. Dave still of course, writes for the site himself and advises the ever-changing writing crew.
