In the news today:
Bayern Munich’s French star, Frank Ribery is the latest name to be linked with Arsenal. footybunker.co.uk suggest that a £22m bid would be enough to entice the tricky winger to England.
Ribery struggled largely last season with injury, and his previously high-profile status has been somewhat over shadowed in recent seasons by former Chelsea star, Arjen Robben.
Munich finished an unacceptable third last season which ultimately cost Louis Van Gaal his job before the end of the campaign, and many Bayern fans see Ribery’s injurys a contribution to their poor finish.
He managed only 22 appearances, however his 7 goals and 11 assists were not a bad return, something Arsenal will be keen to capatalise on should they make a bid.
Ribery was a target before he joined Bayern from Marseille, however the £40m pricetag on his head then was enough to make Wenger baulk at any deal.
At 28, you would imagine that the French international has a few good seasons ahead of him yet.
