I hate Spurs. Hate them, hate them, hate them!!

I hate Spurs. Hate them, hate them, hate them!!

Since we’re playing our good friends from the Borough of Haringey very soon, I wish to convey my views on our “friends”, who now of course are renting the national stadium to play “home” games.

Yes, every Gooner detests that lot. But these are my specific reasons for such, if you will:

They copy us. We have a big ground, so they get a big ground. We get top foreign players, so they want top foreign players. They want a global brand and big revenues, only since we have such.

They see us as their benchmark. You never hear Gazidis mention them but Levy cites us all the time. They’re obsessed with us.

They are our inferiors. They lack our trophy cabinet, records, history, and fan base. They want this, desperately, and again see us as their benchmark. Arsenal stands for excellence on and off the pitch, by doing things that many other clubs haven’t. Our achievements on every level surpass theirs.

They say we’re envious of Kane. Why when we’ve got PEA?

They talk about power shifts but don’t win trophies. Ten years, and they’ve won f-all….

They said we were boring under Graham but then we won league titles. They haven’t in decades.

They talk down the FA cup when it’s central to their history as a football club. Don’t tell Paul Gascoigne, or Ricky Villa, or Blanchflower for that matter, that the FA Cup means nothing. We don’t disparage competitions that our legends have made their club names in….

They say we’re spoilt but we just are used to success they haven’t attained.

They say were sell our best players continually, yet Walker is the latest in a long line of players to win big after leaving. They’ve let go of more of their top players in PL history. Sheringham, Carrick, Berbatov, Campbell (hahahhaaaha!!!!!), and in a way Bale (though not to an English team). Spurs condemning us for bad sh.t always stems from hypocrisy of epic standards. Yes, the Emirates holds a weak atmosphere. But their ground did too. And despite the “lilywhite Kop” in their new ground, it remains to be seen if this will change.

They had Gazza and Lineker, two of England’s best ever players, and we still outperformed them.

They said Bergkamp would turn out badly. Very badly, as he’s arguably the best ever foreign player in English footballing history, let alone the Premier League.

They last won the league when Alli’s grandparents were young.

They’re the number three club in London now, since Chelsea is a bigger club overall than them.

They are the most hated club in London, since Chelsea, West Ham, and others despise them too. They reckon it’s due to envy. Really? We earn more money, won more trophies, have a bigger global brand, and more fans than them. Envy is inappropriate, and comically false.

They say we bought our way into the league, but after 100 years there’s no evidence of this. This ignores, despite proving the charges false, that the FA docked them points for poor practices. We’ve never had that, even if then owner Lord Sugar got it overturned.

They say we hate Wenger, but then they’ve never had a manager of his success. This includes the late Bill Nicholson, since Wenger won two Doubles, not just one like Billy Nich. No Spurs manager ever won record FA Cups, or the most PL games ever.

And they’ve won seventeen trophies. We have THIRTY. Who knows, it could be thirty-two by the end of this season.

So Spurs are the scum, and it’s our duty to smash them at their rented ground.

Jesus. I’m a die-hard and even I think this is utter nonsense! There’s plenty of reasons for hating spuds but saying their desire to grow as a club is copying anyone is complete toss.

    • Disco February 8, 2018 at 10:27 pm #

Mate you really haven’t got a clue. So we are getting a bigger ground cause you have? We are signing foreign players because you have? You really need to lay off the funny fags.

There is no doubt you have achieved much more in the last 30 years and as a Spurs fan that does hurt. BUT, I know where I’d rather be at the moment. A an aging team who know their manger is going to leave and that you will be right in the doo doo or B, the best young team in the premiership (apart from citeh) with a new ground which will give us a chance of challenging for years to come.

Happy to discuss in a bar at Wembley about 2.30 on Saturday, presume you won’t have the bollox to show after we smash you

  2. Jurrassic spud February 8, 2018 at 8:24 am #

Hahaha, was this your homework assignment, good luck when you get to BIG SCHOOL !

  3. THFC FOREVER February 8, 2018 at 8:26 am #

OMG>> Chill out or you’ll have a heart attack, banter and rivalry is one thing but it’s football not war. You need to get a life and prob even a partner to help you out mate instead of licking posters of Arsenal players Haha what a plank…

  4. Greg February 8, 2018 at 8:32 am #

What a deluded Twat, your drivel has jealousy written all over it, of course we are behind you in terms of silverware and ground but it really won’t be long until we totally overtake you, our new ground will be the envy of many and certainly you as will our standing in the game, we’re coming oh yes we’re coming. See you on Saturday well beat you and we’re away again.

    • marblehalls tv February 8, 2018 at 1:14 pm #

You’ll only rival our revenues. There’s no guarantee you can or will be successful. Not with clubs with equivalent or bigger revenues.

  5. COYS! February 8, 2018 at 8:34 am #

Full of HATE & full of SHIT! See a doctor, mate, you’ve got
    issues relevant to psychos’!

    • marblehalls tv February 8, 2018 at 1:14 pm #

I don’t need a doc. You should realise that we’re rivals, it’s what rivals do.

  6. James February 8, 2018 at 8:34 am #

Wow this is a really intelligent and well thought out post.
By the way wasnt it Spurs who brought
top foreign players to England first.
World cup winners Ardilles and Villa.

You really are some sore of deluded piece of runny dog shit,
I take it you wont be at Wembley on Saturday wearing a scum top?

I posted this since I dislike Tottenham. I am a GOoner, and thus it’s so. I hope (and believe we can) smahs your lot, but I don’t apologise for not having much care for your lot. It’s why I posted this.

  9. Billysboots February 8, 2018 at 8:55 am #

what an utter plank, so we ( spurs) are not allowed to grow organically, we have no sugar daddy, I think your better directing certain parts of your hatred to the oil men of the premier league. I too hate Arsenal with a passion, but you have grown your club the proper way and I admire that. Seems that Spurs getting a seat at the top table on a regular basis is upsetting you.

    • marblehalls tv February 8, 2018 at 1:12 pm #

Why should it upset me? It essentially emboldens me, since I despise Tottenham.

  10. Vince February 8, 2018 at 8:58 am #

How very sad you are. Get a life.

  11. Matty boy February 8, 2018 at 8:58 am #

Butt hurt much? Football is a very lucrative business in the guise of a sport. So long as the clubs are owned by businessmen, expansion and profit are an absolute no-brainer.. To link the ambitions of spurs to the footprint of arsenal is just retarded when every club (bar the super heavy weights of the world) want to attain more.. Even when you reach the success of Real Madrid/Barcelona, the goal is still the fucking same.
I’m not one for offering advice to strangers, but dude get a life. Unless you’re getting a peice of the arsenal pie and being a bitter, shabby arsenal blogger is just a hobby.. Even then, just play squash with a spurs logo ball to get your frustrations out as your article is bollocks 😉

  12. THFC February 8, 2018 at 9:03 am #

Oh dear, this fella really has some serious issues. Some of my best friends are gooners, We have banter all the time but we don’t hate each other. If I were you pal I’d go and seek some professional help or at least get laid.

  13. Matt February 8, 2018 at 9:03 am #

    mate, it’s football.

  14. Billysboots February 8, 2018 at 9:05 am #

I actually had to read this again, your are so far of the radar its unbelievable, WHL always and has widely been acknowledged has having a very very good atmosphere, same as Highbury did. The new ground I am hoping they have learnt from WHUFC and your mistakes with new grounds. you mention you have PEA and outshouts Kane, he’s played one game, looked good, but that’s what and see. Thankfully that looks like its is changing. calm down and take a rational look at your comments.

    • marblehalls tv February 8, 2018 at 1:13 pm #

PEA has done it in Germany, and in global terms is a more established striker. He is considering this genuinely world class, and surpasses Kane, who is admittedly world class also.

  15. Jacky Treehorn February 8, 2018 at 9:13 am #

“they copy us we have a big ground so they get a big ground, we get top foreign players so they get top foreign players” how old are you? you’re an embarrassment

  16. John white February 8, 2018 at 9:19 am #

Are Arsenal the only team is the world that is allowed to have a new stadium?
Don’t all clubs want to have the best players possible?

Daniel Levy does not speak much to the media , I don’t quiet remember when he has ever talked about Arsenal.
Do you have examples or are you just making things up?

  17. R Wood February 8, 2018 at 9:20 am #

Dear oh dear. I can’t comprehend someone like you. You must lead a very sad life. If like me you’d suffered cancer and had a child with problems you’d probably get a focus on what matters in life. When Spurs play Arsenal I want to beat Arsenal so much just like I want to beat everybody we play. When it’s gone I joke with my Arsenal season ticket holder mates win or lose. You really are a bitter young man.

    • marblehalls tv February 8, 2018 at 12:08 pm #

I’m sorry for your dilemmas, and I meant that sincerely. However, as a Gooner, I despise Spurs, and it’s how it is.

  18. Northern Cockrel February 8, 2018 at 9:37 am #

To the ‘author’ of this drivel…..just a suggestion here but after Saturday’s game, place both hands behind your knees, pull your upper body down and stick your head back up your Arse and let it stay there for a while – there now, nice and calm again and breathe …….

I have followed THFC all of my life and yet I do not hate the Woolich Wanderers. Ohh I do not like them but that is because of the obsession that they have with THFC and the rubbish that they as fans and players seem obliged to constantly throw at my club. I see AFC as a well run club, lucky enough to have had (virtually…poor Rioch!) two great managers in a row and who do not financially cheat as blatantly as do some others. I find the abhorrence of THFC that pours out of AFC to be in total contrast to the lack of it from THFC players and not a few supporters. So I guess that my feelings towards AFC are more of pity with a little disgust attached that they so feel the need to hate a club that they have twice injured directly in the past. Grow up and pretend that you are adults! We really do not care how you say that you feel nor how much you try to hate.

I can only assume that the twat who wrote this nonsensical article is either a teenager masquerading as a very poorly educated adult or an unfortunate gooner caught in the wrong place at the wrong time who has suffered a severe pasting at the hands of a Spurs supporter resulting in brain damage hence a fixation with THFC.

  21. gooner February 8, 2018 at 10:00 am #

lol I too think this post was childish but the amount of spurs fans commenting on here is Funny.

  22. Mark February 8, 2018 at 12:15 pm #

    Trolling click-bait twat

  23. c b waters February 8, 2018 at 2:27 pm #

I sense some irony, not true hatred, in this guy’s remarks. As a Spurs fan since a teenager in the mid 1960s, I never sensed any especially intense hostility between Arsenal and Spurs. Hooliganism, and ‘hostile’ chanting or worse, was mostly a young man’s game then (generally teenagers in the Park Lane End, The Shed at Chelsea, North Banks at Highbury and Upton Park and so on) and targeted ALL opposition, with a bit more emphasis on London club rivalry, naturally. No fat gutted sweaty foul mouthed ‘club shirt’ wearing, bald headed & tattooed 40 or 50 somethings, acting like total twats, anywhere to be seen back then …just pipe or fag smoking, slim, but with grey features, cheap suited, woollen ‘club scarf’ wearing, and rattle waving working class men (and women) behaving with dignity in their heightened emotions. The nutter element was younger fans only.
When two of our best ended up at Arsenal (Pat Jennings and Jimmy Robertson) there was no anger directed at them, and no long term grudge (Campbell, however, was a completely different kettle of fish, and for valid reasons). Spurs and Arsenal, throughout history, have had players who’ve played for both clubs, and even one manager, who played for and managed the Gooners, before managing Spurs. Also, because top tier football was an affordable game to watch until the last 30 years, I even went to watch Arsenal (and Chelsea), on occasions, if Spurs happened to be playing away, somewhere beyond normal travelling expenses. Now, however, we’re all couch potatoes for impartial matches, but then why should we pay £100 for a day out watching a PL match without your team playing, anyway?
I guess the point I’m making is this. Your man writing this nonsense does have knowledge about Spurs history, but he denigrates it for reasons only he knows. For example, we ARE proud of our FA Cup history at Tottenham, and when we won it for the 8th time in 1991, it was the most that ANY club had won it. We also remain the only non-league club to have won it (1901). Since then (apart from a few League Cup wins) we’ve won nothing, admittedly, and Arsenal, with one or two other clubs, have gone ahead in leaps and bounds. We get that ..but that’s all the younger fans notice! Hence this belief by many Gooners that Spurs have ALWAYS been in Arsenal’s shadow, and that now we are ‘interlopers’. Not true ..it’s only recent years ..and your man writing this ‘attack’, knows this, even if most young fans, bloggers, pundits, players, and many journalists under 40, don’t! Spurs were the 1st team to win the 2nd tier and top flight in consecutive seasons (1951). The first to win the League/FA Cup Double in the 20th Cent (1961) ..Arsenal followed us (er, copied?) 10 years later. Spurs remain the only club to have retained the FA Cup ‘twice’, since the 1880s (’61/2 & ’81/2). Spurs were the 1st British team to win a major European trophy (1963). Spurs were the 1st British club to win two different major European trophies (1972). Spurs were the 1st British club to win the UEFA Cup twice (1984). Big ground? Both Spurs and Arsenal had 70,000 capacities in the 1950s, and 60,000 in the 1960s. No one copied anyone. As seating made grounds shrink, we got left behind a bit at the Lane re capacity, so a new stadium was simply necessary ..late but at least we’re on the same original site. By the way, we still have the 3rd overall largest attendance history among any English clubs.
We, not Arsenal, introduced high profile foreigners (1978) thus setting the standard for things to come. We’ve won 24 (not 17) major trophies (5th in club ranking since the 1880s) ..we’re 3rd in FA Cup history, 4th in League Cup history, 4th most successful club in European trophies won, we’re 1st in having the highest number of players to have represented England, and 2nd in terms of scoring goals for England. Of course, we are miles behind Arsenal in the league, with only two top flight successes compared to their phenomenal achievements in the 1930s and then for about 15 years from 1989 onwards, and we’re now also behind in FA Cups too (due to recent years), but we’re still ahead in European trophy and League Cup history. The thing is we need to match Arsenal’s admiral consistency over the past 30 years, and we are beginning to do that. We’ve been a sleeping giant for too long. We nearly awoke properly between 2009 and 2013 with 2 top fours and a QF in the CL, but we’re fully awake now, and have been the best overall PL side for two and a half seasons. Worse Tottenham sides have won trophies ..so it is imperative we do again, I admit, even though the ups and downs is what makes it fun being a Spurs fan (and I’ve known both since the mid 60s). However, this is our time once again ..so I hope it doesn’t upset too many Gooners who should be looking (like us) outwards, and not at us!
