In the news today:

The Telegraph report that Arsenal have been invited by Valencia to make a firm offer for their fledging star, Juan Mata. The Spanish international has been rumoured as a target of Arsenal for much of the summer and the rumours were fueled following a strong U21 European Championship campaign; in which Spain won.

Mata has been fairly vocal about the prospect of leaving Valencia, stating that he’d like to stay in the Mediterranean country, however his club’s stance could well force Mata away from the club.

Valencia manager, Unai Emery said: “Valencia has to be prepared for a footballer having to leave, either because is he is not wanted or because some big club wants to sign him.

“We want him to stay and Mata has also expressed his wish to remain at Valencia, but we know that if a big-money offer comes in from any club and it’s good for both the player and the club, it could lead to his exit.”

sounds like another fabregas saga in its infancy to me……3 years down the line and the homesick blues will kick in……difference is wenger wont make 35 million profit on him. NOT A GOOD PROSPECT in any shape or form despite his talent
